Oh you mean you want me to do what {insert twenty movie titles} has already done?

I need a list of movies where the main premise involves the Russian mob and its trafficking of nuclear or bio-terrorism weapons.

Someone wants me to change one of my scripts to this premise. Off the top of my head, it feels like it's been done before, and I don't want to re-tread old ground.

But of course I'm drawing a blank for such movies, and/or other reasons this premise is old hat or highly implausible. (Highly implausible reasons work too.)

Please help me come up with movies that have done this before! (And if possible, to spare me from actually having to rent them, please give a brief description of how the film uses that premise!) Thanks a bunch.

IMDb advanced title search allows you to pull a list of all the movies in their database that are tagged with certain keywords. You can also restrict to only certain dates, only US releases, etc. Very useful. (Note that the listing will only be as good as the keyword data, which are entered by users rather than by some all-seeing force, so you aren't guaranteed a comprehensive listing this way, but it's a good start.) I would start with keywords like Russian, mob, mafia, etc. If the keywords don't get you what you want, try entering just one or two words into the "plot summary" field.

I'm pretty sure that's what happens in The Sum of all Fears, though it is probably way more complex than that.

The movie Big Trouble uses this device in a way you are probably not going to see elsewhere. I think this movie is hilarious.

It's not the main premise, but it shows up in Big Trouble.

Aside from the Russians, Broken Arrow would qualify.

Pu-239 aired on HBO a few years back and centers around this topic.
