Doctor in Northern New Jersey for Gout/Arthritis sufferer.
My mother has gout, plantar fasciitis, and arthritis. She is in pain, pretty much all the time.
She has had awful experiences so far with a number of doctors and just doesnt know what to do, and needs some help.
She has lost over 75 pounds and has changed her diet dramatically over the last few years. She is an educated person and is trying to help herself, but she is still in pain.
She lives in Morris County NJ. If anyone out there has any recommendations for doctors in or near that area, please let me know.
Ideally, we are looking for a doctor who treats the patient as a whole being, not just a symptom. We are looking for a doctor who uses a mixture of holistic and western medicinal practices to evaluate and treat their patients.
I dont want any of this "one product cure" gimmicky stuff. We have been through this. And we dont want a doctor who is just going to play around with mixtures of medicines and see what doesnt kill her...that already sent her to the hospital once.
Nutritionist recommendations are welcomed as well.
Its hard to find the right doctor, but recommendations are all we can really go by.
Also, if anyone has Gout/arthritis and has found a way to manage it, I'd love to hear what you have done.
thanks so much
