Help me find a green hosting provider. I am a fan of what Slicehost offers, particularly their great priced virtualized servers, but I am looking for a certified carbon neutral provider. Any ideas?

Response by poster: I should also add that I am not after shared hosting, but affordable and reliable dedicated hosting, or virtualization like Slicehost. We will be running a mix of rails and php and would like to have complete control. Thanks for your help!

ServerChoice are a green, UK based hosting provider for affordable dedicated hosting.

Plesk is used for the control panel, Rails and PHP are supported.

Pair is awesome in many ways, by the way. The do hosting primarily for people with multiple sites, and they are very good at it.

DreamHost is carbon-neutral and they offer dedicated servers. There are mixed reviews on them, but I personally love them and have been with them for years with no complaints.

I also stumbled upon AISO who are totally off the grid using solar energy. Has anyone had any experience with these guys?
