Best place to sell a guitar in New York?

Guitarfilter? I have a Charvel Surfcaster from the mid-90s that I need to sell. While I could just put it on ebay and see who's looking, I live in New York and figure there must be great local dealers who would be interested. Any New York guitar playing mefites who can recommend a good place to check with? Any luck selling your own gear?

Response by poster: If it helps at all it's a 95 Surfcaster from Japan in good condition. I see similar makes going for anywhere between 1,000 to 1,500, but I've never sold an instrument before and have no idea what's reasonable to expect. Thanks!

You won't get as much from a dealer as you would selling it yourself, since they will need to make a profit reselling it. Maybe half of what you estimated above. I'm not familiar with NY dealers, but Guitar Center is buying used gear out here in CA.
