You would think finding a piece of clothing seen on three different people withink a month would be easier...

My partner saw a cute skirt on someone a few weeks ago that she later decided that she might want to get a similar one. I've seen the same (or similar ones) two times since then, but have neglected to ask these strangers where they got it.

A brief description of the skirt is:
- knee length
- a-line(ish)
- orange
- appears to be corduroy or some sort of deep pile fabric
- has a pleat/slit in the front (probably a pleat)

Given that its been seen several times on different people and looks to be "in season" we imagine that its widely available through mall stores, but a search of all the ones we could think of didn't turn up any matching results. So we turn to the hive for fashion help.

Roughly how old were the people you saw? (Helps to narrow the store down)

The Gap had a corduroy skirt fitting this description within the last three months or so -- but it doesn't seem to be available anymore, even in their sale section. Orange corduroy, knee-length, a-line, with an inverted pleat in the front. (I meant to buy one, and they'd sold out by the time I remembered to look.)

(Following up: I found a photo and there's actually no pleat in front -- my bad.)

Could it be one of these?

Response by poster: Age of the people were late 20s to early 30s.

Siobhan--it seems similar but not quite right. It might be worth a trip to the Gap just to check out their clearance section.

Crabintheocean - We did check shopstyle and it doesn't appear to be any of them.

Boden is known for its cute skirts, so I looked there. This is their orange corduroy skirt. No pleat, though.
