Where to try a Panasonic DMC-LX3 in Pittsburgh?

I've been thinking about buying the Panasonic DMX-LX3 digital camera, but want to try before I buy. Can anybody recommend a place in Pittsburgh where I could try one out? Ideally in a non-Best Buy situation?

Bonus points (and a pint of your choice) if anybody's got one and would be down to meet up.

Thanks!

The LX3 is a phenomenally popular camera. I'm not in the area, but I bet virtually any camera store has a good chance of stocking it. Try calling a few camera stores in the area and seeing if they have a demo model you could play with for a bit. A dedicated camera store is likely to be a bit less chaotic than a Best Buy, and the staff might even be more knowledgeable, though that is far from a given.

Best answer: I was pleased with Bernie's Photo on the north side. They seem like the kind of folks who would let you try out a camera. Give them a call.

Then again, all I needed was a battery.

Not exactly an answer, but I hope this is helpful: I should have looked more carefully at the Flickr group for the DMC-LX3 before buying mine. It's a camera that tends toward the dramatic shot, but that's not really my style. Of course I'm still learning how to use it, and I don't know if other new cameras are similar, but the group may be something to look at if you haven't already.

Not really an answer either, but also I hope this is helpful. The LX3 has a nice wide angle (24mm, 35 mm equivalent) but a limited zoom (60mm, 35mm equivalent). You'd probably like experimenting with the 24mm, but may miss the lack of a long zoom. The older model, the LX2, goes 28mm - 112. I'm very pleased with it. I prefer to the b+w to the color, and the 16:9 is very nice. I think you can still get the LX2, you should maybe try and find one as well? Feel free to me-mail me any qs. I have some LX2 shots on Flickr, see my profile.

Response by poster: Thanks, folks.

I'm used to shooting quite wide angle on film and with full frame DSLR, so the wideness of the Panasonic is appealing.
