I'm not from the area, but the local Jewish Community Center offers classes.
I had four years of Hebrew school before my Bat Mitzvah; as far as I can remember it was Modern Hebrew.

Either way...a good way to get recommendations would be to call a synagogue or Jewish Community Center in the area. Many have adult Hebrew classes...and they'll know where the good (and, if you ask at Stanford Hillel, inexpensive) ones are.

Response by poster: Spoken Hebrew would be my preference, I'm travelling to Israel in the summer and want to master the basics. Thanks for your help so far!
