South African Knife Laws Filter: Can I Carry My Pocketknife?

I am moving to South Africa in a few months. In the states I regularly carry a small folding pocketknife (3in blade) around with me on a daily basis.

Does anyone know South African knife carrying laws? Is this legal?

Response by poster: More info: I will be living in a urban area, not in the countryside.

The last post in this thread seems to suggest the rule is something like 'no blade longer than the width of your palm.' Which, for a typical pocket knife, shouldn't be a big deal.
