Rocking with a tuba?

30 years ago I had several albums from a rock band, who sometimes used a tuba. Who were they?
They were British. One of the members of the group was able to play the tuba, but he usually played something else. But they would includ one novelty cut on every album where he did a tuba solo.
Anyone remember such a group? Who were they? (NOT "Billy and the Boingers".)

Response by poster: I've never heard of them, so I'm sure that's not the right group.

Best answer: Herbie Flowers occasionally rocked a tuba for Sky.

I thought Alice Donut's was a trombone? At least, I remember seeing them cover Helter Skelter with a trombone one night in SF.

First thought is the Bonzo Dog Band - British, lots of novelty cuts, many with tuba, including a cover of "When Yuba Plays The Rhumba On The Tuba Down In Cuba."
