Khaki Pants for Men

Clothesfilter: I'm looking for low-rise chinos/khakis for men. Banana/J Crew/etc fail me. Any ideas? I wear Levi's 527s in jeans, which fit perfectly. Bonus points: I've been thinking of trying Land's End's custom option, but I'm suspicious - does anyone have experience with that?

Club Monaco? Deisel? Kenneth Cole? Maybe they are cut differently than the Banana/J?

My husband has a pair of khaki-colored Kenneth Cole trousers that are absolutely incredible--they're a bit dressier than the Banana/J. Crew trou, and a much sleeker cut.

I believe he got his at Bloomingdales, or possibly Nordstrom Rack.

Express Men typically has lower rise pants in all varieties.

It would be easier to answer if we knew why Banana/J Crew/etc have failed you. Fit? Style? The more specific the better.

I haven't tried Land's End custom but keep in mind that their sizes run (very) large and roomy.

Banana/J Crew/etc pants have probably failed him because they tend to ride right around the waist, or barely below it. It's hard to find low-rise non-jeans pants . I've had some luck with Diesel, but always in dark colors.

Oh oh! I just remembered. Gas jeans made an amazing low-rise pants version of their "wider" model. You could try looking for that somewhere.

Response by poster: The pants I went with were from Express - their "Producer" style fits me perfectly. Thanks to Trey and everyone for your help!
