Contact organizations for marginalized populations in south India

I'm writing a final masters thesis on whether south Indian IT can and should be replicated in Senegal. Part of what I want to investigate is whether there has been a negative impact on marginalized populations in the Indian state of Karnataka. I need to contact NGOs, government offices, and anything in between in the state of Karnataka that deal with said marginalized populations, such as Dalits, widows, etc. Any advice on relevant organizations?

Best answer: I did a study abroad with Visthar in 2004. They work with marginalized populations, and would probably be able to point you in the direction of other like organizations.
