Quest for Quinces (in LA)

Are there places in LA where I am likely to find quinces now that they're in season?

I've depleted my stock of blanched and frozen quinces. Quinces should be in season right now but they're notoriously hard to find. I'm looking for places in LA that stock them during this time of year.
Whole Foods has them occasionally but not regularly.

Haven't shopped for them in LA, but in the Bay Area I could find hem easily in markets which specialized in Italian food. Also, they were omnipresent when I was in Mexico, so you might find them in Hispanic stores where they would be called "membrillos".

Best answer: Have some growing in my yard (or so I've been told, I know nothing about them). If you do not find any you are welcome to them! (I don't know how many are on the tree, or if they are ripe) I live pretty close to you. Send me an email if you want them!

Santa Monica farmer's market. Sunday mornings, Main Street and Ocean Park. I've definitely seen them there.

Doesn't Gelson's have them? I'm pretty sure I bought some there last year.

My Persian landlords report that you can sometimes get them at Persian grocery stores.
