What can I make with these decorative letters that I bought at a gift shop clearance sale?
The gift shop in my building is closing tomorrow and they are having a clearance sale. I bought a pendant which is a framed letter on one side and a fleur de lys on the reverse. It's too heavy and large to really wear as a pendant, so I was thinking of getting more letters and making something decorative for my home. Something like hanging several of them to form a word, or whatever.
So what would you do with these? I'm not the "PEACE" or "HOME" or "LOVE" type, so what are some other words that might be interesting or slightly subversive to hang up? I only bought the one pendant, but they had tons of them, so I should be able to spell most words. If you do something totally different with them, what would that be? I don't have to suspend them, that was just the first thing that came to mind.

Best answer: I saw a really awesome necklace like those that sometimes have your name in gold script, only it said:
"BOURBON"
And it was amazing.
Maybe mount them to the back of a hanging L-shaped shelf and make a little bar?

"IT'S NOT ME, IT'S YOU" is another nice sentiment to spell out in ornate victorian characters

"GO AWAY" and hang them inside your front door, and bonus, they act like a sort of jangly bell you see in shops.

Along the lines of the link from deadcrow, I think a short expletive would be awesome - this all depends on your family/house however!

Response by poster: Great answers so far, although the letters are ~$5 a piece even on clearance, so the longer sentiments are likely not going to happen.
So, we've talked about WHAT, so how about HOW? Hanging them inside the door of the china cabinet has occurred to me, or maybe arraying them vertically in some small nook (of which there are several in my house). Just hanging them on a big open wall won't work because they are so small that they'd look lost. But maybe they shouldn't be hung at all?

Best answer: I like "KILL"
Cheap, and you already have one L.
I think all funny art belongs in bathrooms, btw. Especially small things like this.

Best answer: To display, I'd buy a cheap frame, take out the glass, cover the back or cardboard with velvet or your fabric of choice, and then use some little tacks or pins to hang the letters.

Response by poster: Alas, I got stuck in a meeting and missed the closing sale! Thanks for the great ideas, though, and maybe I'll find some other kind of letters to do the same thing.
