What cartoon characters does Everett Dirksen look like?
The first one looks a lot like a Spitting Image puppet.

Best answer: I showed my wife the pics blind and she immediately said Droopy. I'm not seeing it myself, but she was pretty adamant.

At least in the first pic, I think he looks like the Colonel Sanders. Not the actual Colonel Sanders, but the drawing of him on a bucket of KFC.

The only thing that came to mind was that he looked like a random orchestra conductor you'd see in the old Warner Bros or Disney shorts.
But yeah, Mr Peabody sounds good. Obviously with the horn-rimmed glasses, but also the tuft of hair in the front in pictures 3 and 4.
If only he were wearing a bow tie...

Who was that blind character? The one... Oh yeah- Mr. Magoo! Every once in awhile he would don a pair of glasses and, to me, he seemed to resemble a bald version of Everett. You know what is stranger... I was just looking at an old stamp with Everett Dirksen on it and wondered the same thing.
Today has been an odd day.

He looks like he was drawn by Chester Gould - check out the design work for the Dick Tracy characters, and Dirksen looks like he emerged from the cartoon strip into real-life. Not so much a specific character, but the ears, the glasses, the mouth and the hair all fit Gould's artistic sensibilities.
