Does anyone know where I can get the basic code for a hot-or-not type of site? Preferably in Perl or Python, and preferably code that lends itself to modification.

In return for this information, I promise not to inflict yet another hot-or-not site on everyone. I have a project in mind that would use a similar rating scheme, however.

Sounds like a pretty simple CGI. Pull info from the database, display it with a template, and accept a simple query string for the rating. I can't imagine it would take more than an hour to write in perl.

Yeah, I hate to be a bastard, but just write it, or get somebody else to. It's not like there's some MyHotOrNotPHP FOSS project out there. :)

Response by poster: I thought of writing it myself, and figured that my non-optimized code would probably end up being terribly slow. It would definitely take me more than an hour to write it in perl, and I'd be re-inventing someone's wheel.

Thanks, cairnish.
