Rate movies

Blockbuster used to have a page where you voted whether you liked the movie or not and then it generated a list of movies you'd like. Is there anything like that now?

I've used both Jinni and Criticker, which allow you to rate films and then comes up with suggestions based on that.

Jinni has a slicker interface and a better rating system, but it was missing a lot of my favorite (less common) films and came up with some weird suggestions. Criticker has more coverage of obscure films, and in my opinion a better suggestion system, including suggestions of users that are similar to you (so that you can peruse their rating lists).

I came here to recommend Criticker as well.

Seconding aeighty's recommendation of movielens, not least of which is because they're an academic group doing computer science research (mainly in recommendation theory, unsurprisingly). Nice to help them.
