Is there any place to purchase sunscreen at the Orlando International Airport?

My wife and I are flying into Orlando and have about an hour between our flight and our chartered bus to Port Canaveral (woo! long weekend cruise!). We've limited ourselves to just carry-on luggage, so we've been able to figure out how to limit our liquids to the bare essentials. However, we are both pasty white and desperately need way more than 3.4 ounces of sunscreen. Is there someplace in the airport itself that sells sunscreen? If not, is there someplace within quick walking distance that would?

Yes, there are many places that will have sunscreen, including every one of those little Hudson's News shops that also sell $2 chocolate bars and four aspirins in a tin.

Yes. This link will take you to the Orlando International concessions/shops page, where you can then click on which terminal or gate you'll be near. From clicking on the Main Terminal link, I see at least one store selling "sundries," which would most likely include sunscreen.

Your cruise ship should have sunscreen, too, and Port Canaveral would likely have something as well.

Best answer: According to the completely weird Store Browser it looks like there are two small concession type stores in the main terminal area both of which look like they'd have sunscreen: Hudson News and Keys News & Gifts. Hudson News sells "health and beauty aids" so I bet that includes sunscreen. You can try calling them to check 1-800-326-7711 x 2527. What gate are you coming in to?

To answer your aside, there is nowhere you can walk to from the Orlando airport. I also find it hard to believe that airport sunscreen would be much less overpriced than at port or aboard.

Best answer: If you are taking a cruise to the Bahamas, your ship will have a shop that has sunscreen, or you can buy it (cheaper) at the first port of call. Of course, it might be worth the additional cost to make sure you don't get burned in the interim.

Response by poster: Thanks for all the great answers! I completely forgot that they'd have some on the boat!

It's going to cost a pretty penny on the boat. Get it at Hudson News. But you probably won't need sunscreen the very first day - just eat in the shade... most of the day will be spent exploring the ship and then being outside after sunset.

If you can wait until you get to Nassau (if you're going to Nassau like most of the Port Canaveral ships do), be sure to pass through the main orange-and-yellow marketplace they make you walk through to get to the town without stopping, then hit any of the shops on the street. That main marketplace is a ripoff, and the only thing you should consider buying there is Jamaican Blue coffee, which is strangely difficult to find in the Bahamas.
