Can you recommend some ambient DVDs to me?

Ambient dvds? So far I've found these. Other recommendations appreciated - I'm new to the concept.
I'm looking for some mindless patterns - don't care if it has music or not. It's for a party, where it'll be projected on the wall, and other music played on another system. Most of what I'm finding is either fire or marine related. Maybe I should peruse the LSD section of the internets?!

I know you're not here in Portland, but call the guys at Movie Madness, and tell them the situation. They have seriously an insanely large movie collection and they should be able to recommend some stuff you might be able to find there in NC or on the internet.

I have just the thing for you. Last year it was playing in the DVD player on repeat if nothing else was, with the sound on most of the time. It is an feature length ontological music video / interview montage.
1 Giant Leap
A couple freinds of mine in school had The Big Lebowski playing 24/7 in their room. They would sleep to it, shower to it, even f*ck their girlfriends to it. They knew the shooting script better than the actors themselves, down to when people took breaths. They could start at any one point in the movie and act it out to the end.
In short, they were nuts, but they were awesome.

There are a bunch of trance/techno DVDs out there with some pretty nice computer-generated visuals. My experience with them is limited, but I've seen Exotic Robotics and it's pretty nice. That's the recommendations page on Amazon; there are apparently a bunch more.

Oh yeah, and of course, there's also the Mindcandy DVD, although much of that is a bit cheesy...

That 1 Giant Leap looks great, blasdelf. I've Netflix'd it. Thanks.

You might check out hard-to-define imagistic documentaries like the qatsi movies (and Baraka, Microcosmos, etc.), and barely-narrative art films like Decasia and the short films of Stan Brakhage.

Response by poster: Thanks you guys - I threw Baraka, 1 Giant Leap and Winged Migration into my Netflix queue. Those should be sufficient to freak out the snooty crowd expected at this open house thing. heh! I love AskMe. :D
