Query about Rock Band and GHWT controllers

Can you simultaneously use Rock Band 2 and GHWT guitar controllers while playing either Rock Band 2 or GHWT, on a PS3?

Right now we have RB2 and GHWT, and a single RB2 guitar controller. But there are sales and that for the GHWT band kit for $90, so we might do that.

So: Can we play RB2 with a GHWT guitar at the same time as a RB2 guitar? Howzabout GHWT?

We have a PS3.

According to the go-to instrument compatibility matrix, yes.

Response by poster: Right, but I don't mean "Can I play RB2 with a GHWT guitar."

I mean "If someone else is already playing RB2 with an RB2 guitar, can I then join in with a GHWT guitar while they continue to play RB2 with an RB2 guitar? Or does having the RB2 controller dingus attached mean that I can't at the same time use a GHWT guitar?"

I can't confirm that with the PS3 as I don't own one, but that process works fine on the xbox 360. If it works at all, it works whether you're solo or a duo using different branded controllers. I know the two companies worked together specifically on GHWT and Rock Band 2 so that their peripherals for those two games would be as interchangable as possible, and work on each other's games.

Best answer: Yes, ROU. So long as you've got enough USB ports the respective dinguses (dingi?) should get along fine.
