Remember YO?

Does anyone remember a late-1980s (1988-89-ish?) indie-pop band simply called YO (no relation to Yo La Tengo) that put out at least two records for either SST, Homestead, or some other label of that sort? I think they were from Southern California. Google is not helping me here. I know they covered (up-tempo, rockier) "Hard Headed Woman" (Cat Stevens) on one of the LPs and also had an original tune I liked called "Black Rose."

Best answer: Discogs remembers.

They list 3 LPs and a 7" EP:

Good Tidings (LP) Deadbeat Records 1984
Charm World (LP) Deadbeat Records 1985
Once In A Blue Moon (LP) Enigma Records (3), Restless Records 1986
Small Piece Of Gold (7", EP) Lazy Dog Records 1989

Both "Hard Headed Woman" and "Black Rose" are on the Once In A Blue Moon LP.

(Discogs also lists a couple copies of Once In A Blue Moon for sale.)
