Don't push that button.

I have been accessing twitter on my mobile (Palm Centro) for months and today, I accidentally hit a button that said "View in Standard". I can no longer access twitter.

The message it is now giving me says "You cannot use the Twitter website without having JavaScript enabled on Your web browser. Please re-enable JavaScript and refresh this page."

Problem: I have absolutely no idea how to do this. Help please.

Try going to m.twitter.com

Response by poster: I've tried that and it gives me the same message.

Best answer: OK folks. After screwing with it for about an hour I finally figured it out. For anyone searching in the future, go into Menu > Options > Preferences > General . Then disable and re-enable JavaScript and click OK. I'm back up and running.

What a pain.

Just for future reference, clearing your cookies probably would have fixed it as well. I assume there is a way to do that on the Centro's browser.

I've encountered this problem on my Treo. Like many other things on Twitter, the UI switch is half-implemented at best. The only solution I've found is to clear the cookies, then hit m.twitter.com again.

If disabling JavaScript works, great, but that might have other undesired consequences since the Web is full of "designers" that require client-side logic to display a simple document.
