Blackberry Bold Messenger

I have a Blackberry 9000 on vodafone UK. I accidentally deleted the BB messenger. I have since been trying to reinstall it. The application loader on the desktop does not have it. On the BB website there is a link to download messenger; but since the Bold runs version 4.6 this is not downloadable. I have reinstalled the BB desktop application from the CD. Still there is no messenger avaialable. I have asked Vodafoine; they have no idea. How do I get the BB messenger onto my BB again? much appreciated. Thanks

I haven't used a BlackBerry since I got my 3G iPhone but are you sure you didn't just hide the icon?

Failing that I once had some apps disappear and my carrier (T-Mobile in the UK) couldn't help with my queries. But wiping the device and reinstalling helped, but clearly you're going to need a current backup (in fact more than one, please?).

Best answer: Look Here

A guy called kerseyr at the bottom of the page has the answer and explains it better than I can.

BTW, if you are ever in a Vodaphone shop ask for the person handling business customers - they actually know what they are talking about.

Try going to the system software update panel rather than the add/remove applications panel. I believe all the native blackberry stuff is in there.
