Is there a Battlestar Galactica complete series DVD?

Does anyone know anything about a Battlestar Galactica (2004) complete series DVD?
I'm a cult-TV fanatic who somehow entirely missed the Battlestar Galactica Boat. I want to watch it, but I understand it's now over. I want to get the whole thing on DVD, but if possible I'd like to get a complete series set. The problem is that no one can say if/when a complete series DVD is coming out, and I can't decide whether I should wait for it or just get the individual DVD sets. Does anyone know anything about this? (On a side note, what's the deal with the season numbering? Season 4.5? WTF?)

The 2.0/2.5 and 4.0/4.5 came about because those two seasons were split up and aired with a many-months gap between the halves; the first-half DVDs in each case came out just before the second half started airing.
There isn't a complete set yet because they haven't even officially announced the 4.5 box - eg, the whole series isn't even available as seasons, never mind as one big box. There also hasn't been a "Season 2" box yet - it's still separate 2.0 and 2.5 boxes - so I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a Complete Series box.

The reason for "X.5" is because the seasons were shown in two batches -- 10 episodes in 10 weeks, and then after many months, the other 10 episodes. So "season 4.5" refers to the second half of season 4.

Best answer: A Blu-ray box set of the complete series is supposedly due on July 28. I imagine there'll be a standard-def box as well at the same time.

The only thing about that July 28 box set is that there is actually one more BSG movie coming out - a 2-hour SciFi special called "The Plan" which will look at the events of several seasons from the POV of another set of characters (purposefully being vague to avoid spoilers). I think that's supposed to air in June, and so I doubt it will be part of that July 28 release...

I was starting to write something about how you should just buy individual seasons and start watching ASAP because Battlestar Galactica is the best show to ever air on television in the history of all television BUT I find the menus on the first season DVDs to be really annoying. The menus and bonus stuff got progressively better as the seasons progressed, so it is probably worth waiting for a nice, neat full series set.
Definitely wait until after the release of a set with The Plan, though. That is going to be so awesome. Not that I am biased.

As for "4.5", that's coz there was both a chronological and thematic gap between the first and second halves of the final season.
