Help me find a higher resolution image of this map of Prince Edward Island

Howdy, I'm working on a gift and with a few inside joke alterations this map of Prince Edward Island would be perfect. I'd like to print it out and have it look decent at say 14" wide, so I'll need to find a less jpegy version.

I think the image is public domain, and if I can't find this exact map then anything of PIE with this "ye olde" feel to it would work as well.

Where do I even begin looking?

Thanks much!

I assume you got the image from Wikipedia. The information for the image indicates that it comes from the Library and Archives of Canada. I can't seem to get there right now, but as the source of the image, the archives would be your best bet.

Response by poster: Ah good call! I really should have thought to check that. I see it is public domain for certain as well. I suppose it might just be a matter of waiting until their website comes back to life.

*nod*

Thanks!

New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. From an atlas, 1896.

Prince Edward Island. From the New Railway and Postal Map of the Dominion of Canada, 1878.

Prince Edward Island. Counties, Parishes, Lots, and Settlements, date unknown. (With probably-removable annoying red circle.)

The LAC site does appear to be down right now, but this is the link to the National Map Collection search page.

By the way, once the site is back up, I don't imagine they'll have a higher-resolution image for you there - the last page I linked to has this link

http://data2.archives.ca/nmc/n023350k.jpg

to the archives (dead, of course) which Google claims is the same resolution (1216 x 639) as the image linked in the question.
