Can I turn my blood pressure monitor off?

24-hour blood pressure monitor question. 24 hours are up and I took it off but it keeps going off every 15 minutes. Can I turn it off or will that clear the memory?
I was given a SpaceLabs Medical 90217 blood pressure monitor to wear for 24 hours yesterday. My 24 hours are up and I took the unit off as instructed. However, it continues to beep and inflate every 15 minutes, which is pretty annoying. Should I turn the unit off? They didn't give me any instructions about what to do once I took if off other than bring it back on Monday. I'm worried that if I turn the unit off the memory of my readings might go away.

Leave it in your car? Don't turn it off, though.

Best answer: According to the spacelabs website, the off switch puts the machine into standby mode and it retains the data until it is reprogrammed. I think you're good to turn it off.

Cover it over with a duvet/pillows and put it into a room that you don't use?
