What's a good online project management service with easy file exchange and project updates?

I'm looking for basic online project management software or hosted service. I've checked out BaseCamp an ProjectForum. All I really need is a blog that allows users to attach files for easy file exchange and get updates on the project. Can you recommend anything else? Or do you heartily endorse one of the above?

BaseCamp is pretty good and has features which replicate what you're describing.

The support people reply really quickly, although they can be a bit snotty in that "we're usability experts" kind of a way (even though if the service was _that_ usable I'd never need to write in to them with a comment or suggestion.

...a bit snotty...

Heh -- you can say that again.

There's a few open source GroupWare demos that you can check out here.

if you only need a weblog with file upload, just pick the right level of TypePad. anyone who's an author can upload files. starts at 5$/month.

Basecamp is great, very webloggy. Currently though uploaded files are stored on your own server (not on basecamp).
