iPod partial-podcast-sync problem

What have I done to my iPod or iTunes that it won't sync new podcasts? The old ones sync just fine.

For reasons I'm unable to discern, my iPod is refusing to sync any new podcasts. It still syncs and updates all of the podcasts that I've been listening to just fine. Unfortunately, when I try to add a new one, it downloads, shows up in iTunes, and thenceforth steadfastly refuses to be recognized by my iPod.

I have iTunes 8.0.1.11 and a 20 gigabyte, fourth-generation, monochrome, click-wheel iPod. It's likely I ticked some box while screwing around in settings, but I cant figure out what or where that would have been. Thanks so much.

Best answer: have you set your iPod to sync All Podcasts, or individually selected a few?

Response by poster: There it is. I'm officially an imbecile.

I wish all of the preferences settings were in one place. I hate having to check six different menus accessed in six different places to make sure I have all of my setting correct. Sorry for the dumb question.

Response by poster: For posterity:

The menu in question here can be accessed only when the iPod is connected to the computer. Click on your iPod's name under "Devices" in the table of contents along the left hand side of iTunes. Then, notice the tabs along the top middle, directly underneath the box that usually contains the name and information of what music is currently playing. One of these tabs says "Podcasts". Here, ensure that the "All Podcasts" radio button is selected.
