Me Make Pretty Web Stats Animated Stuff One Day, A.K.A. Why doesn't Invigorate do AJAX web stuff anymore?!

So, I'm trying to figure out a cool visual way to display real-time accesses to our assorted websites on a big flatscreen TV in our elevator bay. Ideally it would be able to feed from Google Analytics, but a different solution would be okay too.

It should be pretty to look at and be in the format of a 'lifestream' type thing to track when we get activity on our sites. I would show google analytics charts but they are not flashy enough, also we have people coming in to the office from all over and i'd rather not give them a full glimpse into our traffic trends.

I've seen VisitorVille but its a little cheesy for this use.

Does anyone make a product like this?

I was involved in building something like this for a big business a little over a year ago, at which time there was nothing we could find pre-existing, so we made it from scratch. I've kept a toe in this since, because it was interesting (like your need, it was for a big-screen "taste/tease" of the data) and I liked working on it... and I may someday make one for my own enjoyment, too.

I am "answering" here with that bad news though: there was no product close to doing this last year, and I have not seen anything since, either.

There's a backdoor API for analytics using python, with that and PIL or whatever you can make all the pretty pictures you want.
