Tuesday's House over-ran and my DVR didn't record the whole show and now I'm mad.

House Filter: What did Wilson say to House at the very end of the season opener "Dying Changes Everything"? (spoilers inside if you DVR'd it)

The episode over-ran and my Tivo blinked out just as Wilson was telling House that House was the reason he was leaving. I assume it was about House's general asshattery more than House's involvement in Amber's death, but does anyone know exactly what Wilson said? If not exact, then a reasonable facsimile would do. Thank you so much. I like to think I'm a better person than one who gets overly-involved in a TV show, but of course, I am not.

Best answer: Let's see if I can put my transcribing skills to use....

----

HOUSE: I feel like crap and she's dead because of me.

WILSON: I don't blame you. I tried to; I wanted to. I must have reviewed Amber's casefile a hundred times to find a way. But it wasn't your fault.

HOUSE: We're OK? I mean, I know you're not. But maybe I could help...

WILSON: We're not OK. Amber was never the reason I was leaving. I didn't want to tell you because...because I was trying...to do what I always do, to protect you. Which is the problem. You spread misery because you can't feel anything else. You manipulate people because you can't handle any kind of real relationship. And I'm enabled it. For years, the games, the binges, the middle-of-the-night phone calls. (Sigh) I should have been the one on the bus. (Pause). You should have been alone on the bus. If I've learned anything from Amber, it's that I have to take care of myself.

WILSON PICKS UP HIS BOX OF STUFF

WILSON: We're not friends anymore, House. I'm not sure we ever were.

EXIT WILSON

I'd recommend you check the recap over on televisionwithoutpity.com - they post recaplets, followed by much longer line for line full recaps a couple days later.

Correction: "And I've enabled it."

Response by poster: THANK YOU!! I feel very silly that I wasted a question on this, but it was making me nuts.

Also, my DVR crapped out too, and so did a few others at TVSquad. Stupid timeshifting. But now i set mine to run 2 minutes long on House just to be on the safe side.

Thanks for ruining this for me! You should have had a warning. Oh wait....

Seriously, I haven't watched it yet, but I'm not the type of person that cares about spoilers.

So did it play out well, or did it seem contrived?

Good episode? I haven't been liking the show as much the last two seasons, every since they broke up the dynamic of the original team, but it's still a lot better than a lot of what's out there.

Maybe I'm not supposed to be chatting in an askme question, but looks like you got your answer, so figure it can't hurt, but if this is bad form, let me know.

Thank you!! My Tivo crapped out before Wilson left so I thought I was missing something as well.

Good episode?

I'd say that depends on whether, like me, you were wondering if Wilson would ever grow a backbone.

This scene was good, but the writing throughout the rest was painful at times.
