How can I find this New York bar?

Help me identify a bar in New York from my friend's very vague description of its decor!
My friend swears she saw this bar in a documentary or current affairs/news clip, which may have been about vodka, the cost of alcohol or drinking in general. The bar was in New York, and had hot-pink soft/squashy looking seats beside long tables in the center of the bar. Low hanging lights from the ceiling over these long tables, with simple hat-shaped lampshades. There were booths against the wall. People were drinking martinis.
It was the hot pink seats that stuck with her, and I suspect is the only identifiable characteristic! Am hoping this might ring a bell for one of our New York drinkers.
