Passion of The Christ spam bombardment

Over the last few weeks my journal has been bombarded with spam posts about the Passion of Christ, as have the journals of many of my friends. Does anyone know if this is just some random nutjob, or if it's a co-ordinated 'promotion' of the film by some group? [No More Inside]

The ones I've seen seem to be more of a chain letter than any actual focused campaign. I guess if you trace it back far enough you'll find the person who originally did it.

I'm terribly put out that I haven't received any yet.

Can we have a link and a Googleable phrase so we can do some tracking? This Passion marketing craze is growing more repulsive by the minute, and I'm a crazed bible-thumper myself.

Response by poster: I've seen two seperate things - the first being the 'chain mail'. I'm not actually convinced that it is a chain mail, but it reads as one.

The second one is included below as small as I can get it. The phrases about Jews annoy me especially (although/because I have no religious bias at all).
The Passion of The Christ is in theaters soon - this week on Wednesday.. what do you think about this movie? I'm going to see it for sure - the trailers were enough to convince me. I read somewhere that it's the widest opening ever for a subtitled movie; I have a feeling subtitles won't detract from the full effect of this movie though. After looking at the trailers which have no subtitles or english at all, it was reinforced for me that lack of spoken english in this film won't hurt one bit. To sum up my impression of The Passion: it's a work of art.

Another fascinating aspect to this movie is all the controversy that has been generated about it.
Some people, not really representative of Jewish people, but rather self appointed Jewish spokespeople, such as Abraham Foxman from the Anti-Defamation League, seem to have been attempting to denounce this film for months as being anti-Semitic. The news reported that they even stole the script last year! But here's what some Jews say (Jews who don't make it their job to tear apart other people): Protesting Gibson's Passion Lacks Moral Legitimacy by Rabbi Daniel Lapin.

Nice to see some people speaking rationally.

Ah, I see it. I tried a search for some phrases in the spam, and all I got was this weblog entry about it being spammed to other LJs. Whoever "Kyle" is, he sure ain't nice or rational.

I've seen that exact same text pop up all over the place on Livejournal. Here's an example from a friend's journal.

Response by poster: My bad... for the second one it would have been better to link to this moan about it.
