Where can I find the awesomest hoodies in NYC?
I like hoodies, and it's starting to become long-sleeve weather. Where can I find the neatest designs and/or cheapest threads without venturing to the Internet? Got any favourite thrift shops?

Or, right next to the Brooklyn Industries store on Lafayette, there's Triple Five Soul. In fact, that little stretch of Lafayette above Prince is pretty much hoodieland.
You might also look in at the new Ina branch at Bleeker and Elizabeth, good men's stuff. Not "thrift" but "consignment". It's "cheap" in the sense that a Prada or Helmut Lang jacket is $110 instead of $450...

The whole area roughly between Broadway and Bowery, and say Prince and Grand is prety much filled with stores like Yellow Rat Bastard that are basically Wal-Marts for "urban" or "sub-cultural" clothing. Just know that you should only shop at Brooklyn Industries if you want to be identified as the kind of person who shops at Brooklyn industries; its one of those stores.
Also check out St. Mark's for some slightly less evil clothing, though the hip-ification process is nearly complete at this point.
There are lots of great second-hand stores in Alphabet/LES, though few have websites. I'd stay start on B work your way south and east.

Thumbs down on BE from me, and I live near enough to one to spit on it. The quality of their stuff is generally not that good, IMO.

Response by poster: There was a thread about this a couple of weeks ago.
I swear I searched before I posted, and didn't spot that. Thanks for the link.

What're "those stores"? (This is not sarcasm.)
