Most famous is probably seduction/dinner scene in Tom Jones; for my money it's pretty gross, but it is famous.

The first perhaps 15 - 20 minutes of Eat Drink Man Woman lead us from the master chef's home kitchen, where he's cooking for his daughters, through to the massive kitchens in Taiwan's largest hotel. It covers food on a small, yet exquisite scale, as well as a huge, almost industrial scale.

The very last scene of Big Night -- the silent omlette preparation -- always seems to be singled out for praise.
