What do you know about iFriends (warning: this is about porn)?

Specifically, I'm thinking about setting up a webcam and trying to make some money. I'm an attractive "alternative" male and so obviously my target market would be gay men (by alternative I mean that I'm not they typical big muscled man that you see in gay porn, I'm a pretty scrawny guy who is exceedingly handsome [or maybe "cute" is the word] and I have an amazing penis, those are my selling points). Three things I'm wondering (especially for those who have used iFriends or who have friends who have used iFriends): (1) how profitable? (2) how easy? (3) how creepy?

[as an aside, it's too bad y'all can't answer anonymously. that would be nice. another aside, i'm actually not gay. however, i have no problems profiting from appearing gay to gay men so that they may pay me money to be naked on a webcam. naturally, i would claim to be gay as that would be silly. maybe that matters too?]

Did you mean you wouldn't? I guess you can't answer since you are anonymous, but since you're not gay, you might find it interesting to know that many gay men would find the fact that there were watching a straight guy.....how to say this.... hot.

If you don't get much of a response here (or even if you do), get a (free) membership at Gay Torrents, and post this question on one of the forums there. They might be more helpful.

Heck, what's stopping you from just setting up your own website and going from there? I'm sure that once you get your link on a few well placed sites you would have more than enough traffic to get things going.

I second the "straight guy performing for you!" angle. Doesn't cut out the "likes scrawny cute guys with amazing penis" gals either.

As a side note, I find it rather funny that you are posting anonymous, yet are ready to show your John Thomas to anyone who cares to take a gander. I'm sure there's a valid reason, but it still strikes me as odd.

That's off the point, isn't it? iFriends claims to provide easy, profitable access to hundreds of thousands of members; anonymous is wondering if that's been the experience of anyone here.

Anyway, I've met folks who claim to have made a bundle at iFriends, anon, and heard about women who make good money simply smoking cigarettes on camera fully clothed, but that's about it, so I'm curious to see what answers you get.

Former Ifriends camgirl here...

1. Quite profitable, if you build up enough of a fanbase and regulars. I made some spare change, but never enough to replace a regular job.

2. Easy? It can be. I've made money doing everything on there from chewing bubble gum, zooming in on and fingering my belly button, smoking, or covering myself in cooking oil.

3. Creep-factor: most of the guys weren't creepy, but having an aunt email me saying that her son found a girl working on there who looks exactly like me can kind of weird you out a bit.

As a guy, you'll have the luxury of being in a smaller pool of performers. When I was performing, the female/women home alone/bbw usually consisted of about 2000 other performers. However, you're also going to have a much smaller customer base, since in my experience a lot of the guys surfing the site are there for the ladies.

Good luck!

Speaking as a gay man... you're likely to make more money as a straight boy, perhaps a straight boy who might be a little bit curious, than by pretending to be gay. Think of the flipside... how hot do you get seeing two girls go at it, even if they won't let you join in?

Fair warning, the gay male webcam market is fairly highly saturated at the moment, has been for a while. Sure, there are guys who will pay for the amateur webcam thing, but (from my experience) the vast majority of men who will pay to watch a cute boy jerk off online will go for the higher end, professional (even if the models are amateurs, they'll go for professional studio quality etc) live porn. Frankly, there are so many cute boys who jerk off online for free that paying for it is rarely an option that makes much sense.

Also, my email is in my profile. I'd like to see this cuteness, and the apparently amazing penis ;)
