How can I find the naked pics in my apple photos library?

I've got close to 60,000 photos in my library. As I keep learning there are nude ones in there that have been sent to me over the years and somehow synced into it. And I keep finding them at inopportune moments. Short of going through each pic, is there any other option for searching for them? If you search DOG you get all the dog pics. Is there ANYTHING out there that helps me narrow this down?

Software for recording a screen presentation?

I have to create a video presentation that will be partly me talking, and partly slides. I guess screen-recording software would work for this, but what software is recommended, and how could I go about setting this up? For a Windows computer.

Samsung Galaxy S24 - will it work in Eastern Europe if bought in N.A ?

If I buy an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S24 in Canada as a gift for someone in eastern Europe, will they have difficulty with SIM cards and/or carriers there? I have read that this is sometimes an issue with Samsung Galaxy, as there is some kind of regionality to them - though this may apply to older models only. [more inside]

DVD to iPad?

Is there a way to play a dvd or blu ray and have the video appear on my iPad? I don’t necessarily need to control the dvd on my iPad, though pausing would be nice, and it would all be on my own home network. I know how to play stuff on my iPad and have it appear on my tv. I want, basically, the opposite of that, though the tv is not necessary. [more inside]

What tool is this? AI ad butler

Within the last few weeks I read an article about an AI "ad butler" that creates, bids, buys, tracks, and manages ads on various platforms, but now I can't find the article or remember the tool it was reviewing. The tool was being used by someone with a small business, which was why it caught my attention. I do see some ai ad tools aimed at the enterprise level, but that's not me.  [more inside]

Advice for creating closed online communities?

I'm mostly only on Facebook for the parent groups, and wondering if we could do the same thing outside of Big Tech. By "same thing" I mean multiple closed/private communities for Seattle parents, ideally with posts and threaded discussions. Something like private subreddits, the FOSS version thereof. Or a non-Discord Discord. [more inside]

How to get Canadian television within PNW without cable

I live in Seattle. I know I can get CBC via Comcast (Xfinity). I don't have cable and don't want to sign up for it again. Are there specific ways to set up an antenna or other gadgetry to get Canadian/BC television without cable from the Seattle area? I have used antennas in the past but have not been able to get much more than a handful of local stations. Looking for specific answers as opposed to vague suggestions about VPNs, say, that streaming options appear to be able to defeat. Thanks.

Privacy and cars

I am considering getting a new car. My current car predates all the sort of smart screen tech and, because of the principle of the thing, I am concerned about privacy issues in the event that I get a more recent vehicle. [more inside]

Landline Telephone question

My mom has been in a nursing home about four years. For most of that time, we have been able to call her room's landline directly, and she has been able to call out. In the last couple weeks, something changed and we can no longer call her directly (we get a message that the call cannot be completed), though she can still call us. Any idea what might have changed or what we can do to call her directly (without getting a cell phone*)? [more inside]

Good-looking UPS for FiOS router?

Is there any UPS for my Verizon FiOS router (CR1000a) that will neatly stack underneath it? I don't need to power anything else, just this 12v/5a device. I would prefer something that simply sits underneath the router -- I don't want a giant power strip-looking thing on the floor.

Alexa-compatible switch that also has a remote control?

I have an old X10 AC control module that I use with a remote to control two lamps that are very difficult to reach. I would like to replace it with something that's Alexa-compatible (I have an Echo Dot) but also allows some type of physical remote control. Trying to find something like this on Amazon's site is an exercise in frustration. I'd like to believe something like this exists, but am I just dreaming?
