Alternative Route to Move Overstock Clothing from Failed Business
I once had a men's leisure wear line and would like to quickly move the overstock or sell with a minimum of time or financial investment. I am looking for ideas to move product online or sell direct to wholesalers [more inside]

Chic white sneaker, 2025 edition
I will shortly be attending my kid's college graduation + associated events, over 3 days. I'll wear a variety of dresses mostly oriented toward warm/humid weather. For non-negotiable body reasons, I will need to wear sneakers, alas. I'm thinking that nowadays a pristine white sneaker can be considered chic. Is that the way to go? If yes, please recommend me. Swim trunks/travel-shorts for people w/testicles (good pockets a must)
Looking for swim trunks that can double as shorts with good pockets that zip or secure closed with buttons or velcro, for travel. Want mesh supporter for testicles and penis. Good quality quick dry fabric, but not super sheer. [more inside]

Tell me where to buy (or who designed) Beck's shirt in this music video
I am very into the black shirt that Beck is wearing in most of the video for Death Valley High (with Orville Peck). Any guesses where it's from or who the designer was? [more inside]

A good print-on-demand tee shirt site in 2025?
A few people over in the Socky thread expressed an interest in a tee-shirt, and I'm not averse to it. But, how? I don't have much money to contribute to capital or time or space for running a tee-shirt production and distributor, and I assume it's just a few people who would want one, so I guess print-on-demand is the best way to go. But with who? And how is it best to get started?

Is this a barbershop cut or a salon cut?
Okay, I have had purely barbershop cuts for many years, but do I need a salon? The cut in question is a K-Pop-esque two-block cut. [more inside]

Someone dumped coffee in my leather purse! Please help me clean it.
A person sitting near me accidentally dropped some kind of milky coffee drink in my purse last week while I was traveling. Please help me figure out how to get it clean and fresh-smelling at home, or tell me if it's done for. [more inside]

Home perm first timer!
I'm pretty much decided on perming my own hair. Is it true that you can back out of it by washing it within xx hours if you regret it? More idiotic questions and general requests for advice inside. [more inside]

What to do with an antique necklace?
This broken tortoiseshell necklace is French from the 1700s, and not to current taste. But what to do with it? [more inside]
They stopped making my favorite shoes. I need replacement suggestions.
For years I have worn and loved Saucony Originals Bullets, but they don't make them anymore. There are used ones out there, which I'm not interested in....what I want is a replacement. [more inside]

Please tell me what is festival wear
I'm doing some clothing designs for a small business. We'll be selling our things online--domestic shipping only. I'm in charge of doing patterns for Festival Wear. I would love to come up with some awesome designs and help my company make a ton of sales, but I'll definitely need some help. [more inside]

Love my wool clothes, but the holes and the pilling... help!
I have several wool t-shirts and thin shirts that I love, but half of them got a couple of tiny holes after just a few uses. The shirts are too expensive for that! I do not think it's moths because my wool sweaters don't get any holes and they're hanging right next to each other in the closet and touching. And not every shirt has holes. The thicker wool sweaters don't have any tiny holes but they pill so badly that I am afraid they are going to wear out and get so thin in a couple of years. Is this just the deal with wool? Give me your hot takes: Can I buy this shirt?
Seen outside of Seattle. Very much want. But does the brand give “don’t tread on me” vibes? [more inside]

Looking for custom tapestry maker who uses t-shirt(-like) fabric.
I’ve got excellent tapestries at low prices on Etsy, which are fabulous as display tapestries, but the fabric is too stiff for my purposes, which are to cut out selected sections and sew them onto T-shirts.

trans-friendly nail salon in LA?
My partner is a trans woman but not presenting very femme yet. One thing they would like to do today while we are in LA is get their nails done. We are staying near the Grove and going to the Museum of Jurassic Technology this afternoon. Any quick suggestion for a place that has queer inclusive staff and clients and would just be friendly and not awkward/weird? And maybe is hopefully sort of convenient to those areas.

Treating Second Hand Wool Clothing for Moths
Last year's clothing moth situation has thankfully abated after a relentless campaign.
But now I have become supremely cautious about bringing in any wool garments into the house without first treating them. This especially applies to second hand purchases.
What, pray tell, is the best way to treat clothing to kill moths and especially their eggs? I would ideally like to avoid dry cleaning, preferring to hand wash woolens.

Help me replace my beloved vest!
One of my exes stole my favorite vest. I don't miss her, but I do miss my vest. I'd like to find another one. [more inside]

Can I spray vodka on cashmere?
The moths came for me. I sealed my sweaters away with mothballs and have now begun the tedious washing process. But the gentle, no-rinse detergent I used (Soak, if it matters) isn't getting the mothball smell out, even after multiple rounds.
I've had fantastic luck getting smells out of fabrics with a spritz bottle of vodka. Will that damage the material? (Is there a better way to get the mothball smell out?)

Going to a gala with little budget and traveling by commuter train
I am going to an event next week for work that is billed as a “gala.” I don’t have anything suitable to wear, and I don’t want to spend a lot on something I’ll only wear once. I’d be grateful for any tips or suggestions about how to not look out of place while not breaking the bank. [more inside]
