stop Firefox zooming

How to stop Firefox from auto zooming the entire page.
Firefox 3.0.1 will sometimes automatically decide to zoom pages (text+images) so they take up the whole window width. If I hit CTRL+0, it goes back to normal size.
Hunted through settings, about:config, google, etc., have not found where to turn it off.

Does this help? I can't figure out where Firefox stores the site specific zoom settings.

Do you want it to just increase/decrease the text? If so, go to View > Zoom > Zoom Text Only (last item). Once that's selected, when you soom in and out, just the text will change.

My guess (it used to happen to me) is that you are doing ctrl+(mouse_scroll). In about:config there is an integer mousewheel.withcontrolkey.action. It does 4 different things depending on the value:
0 scroll by lines
1 scroll by page
2 move around in the history
3 page zoom in/out [DEFAULT]
(the documentation i linked to says text zoom, but i confirmed that it is page zoom in ff3)
I set mine to 1, which makes it act as a faster scroll than normal.
On preview, it looks like the question has been answered, but I feel this is valuable information and similar enough to the topic at hand.

awww shucks. I came to this thread because I thought maybe there was a shortcut for "make this page fill the full window width, and to hell with the web designer". No such luck.
