Dawson City Music Festival

Dawson City Music Festival - before I dive in head first and just book a hotel and flight right now, tell me what I need to know about the trip and the festival.

Any advice and things to make sure I bring / prepare for from people who have gone in the past would be much appreciated. I'm not much of an impulse traveller, so I want to get out of my comfort zone a bit, and go some place I'd never normally get to.
