Which crazy should I be?

Which psychiatric disorders won't raise my insurance costs or mess up my record long-term?
I'm starting therapy to deal with some difficult family issues, and my psychiatrist says that for our sessions to be covered by insurance that he must diagnose me with something. Ideas?

This post was deleted for the following reason: "Let's brainstorm fake illnesses" seems like really not a great idea for askme for a couple of different reasons. -- cortex
Not to mention that offhand I can't think of anything including garden variety depression tht won't mess you up later.
I'd pay out of pocket if I were you.

Not to mention-these days usually psychiatrists major in medicating disorders, while psychologists and counselors do mostly talk therapy....perhaps you could be seeing the wrong professional to start with?
This whole thing is a red flag, to me.

Any psychiatrist that starts out with that comment isn't one you want to see.

Wow, I really have to add to the tide here - you would do very, very well to find a different psychiatrist ... if you need any comparison, I've been talking lately with a friend who's just started seeing a therapist who told her in her first session that, even if the place she's working for goes under and she ends up without insurance (which is looking sadly possible, I'm afraid), so long as she's living in that town he'll work out a way to continue seeing her ... THAT, to me, is the sign of a therapist who's genuinely invested in seeing their clients heal - whereas yours sounds to me like a therapist who's invested in, well, making money ... they aren't all like that, and I really doubt you're going to get the best treatment with someone like that ... keep looking, keep looking!
