Skinny jeans for a big butt?

My best beloved wants a pair of jeans she can wear her boots over top of. She can't seem to find a pair that fits right...

How weird is this? I'm asking style advice for my bride-to-be, because she's too shy to ask anyone herself.

She has a body shape that has blessed her with an ample bottom, but exceptionally slender legs. She's not heavy at all... she's got hourglass curves like a 40's pinup.

She likes the look of knee-high boots over tight jeans (as do I, hence my eagerness to ask this question on her behalf) but the jeans that fit her are all boot-cut or wide leg, and don't look right with boots zipped up over them. Skinny leg jeans that accommodate her hips are too loose around the waist and downright baggy around the legs.

Are there any brands/styles that are designed to fit her bodyshape? She's not prepared to shell out megabucks for this, either. (She has a boot addiction to feed.)

I had a similar dilemma and one "tip" is that what worked for me ended up being a pair of skinny "capri" cut jeans. Not only do I have a similar shape to your fiance, but I'm short to boot. I have found normal skinny jeans are just too damned long and they bunched up over the top of the boots. The capri cut jeans (had some lycra in them for maximum hug and comfort) work great and they'll work through the upcoming warmer months as well.

I don't know what country you're in but I have heard rave reviews about True Jeans and this is the kind of style I'm describing above. Also, I don't know your budget and yes, they seem rather spendy but as a woman who has had difficult times finding a good pair of jeans, the investment is worth it.

Skinny jeans for a big butt?

I think that's the whole point of Apple Bottom jeans.

You know-- shawty had the apple bottom jeans and the boots with the fur &c.?

If she doesn't mind spending a little extra she could always buy a pair of boot-leg jeans that fit perfectly, then take them to a tailor to have the bottoms converted to skinny jeans style.

I know in my area this is usually only an extra $40 or so, well worth it to modify a good pair of jeans she will wear for the next few years or more.

Has she tried Zafu ? I have found it pretty helpful as someone with a fairly similar shape. I found Calvin Klein skinny jeans to work nicely (~$60 ish) and Zafu also recommended the DKNY Jeans skinny jeans. They're not skin-tight, but they work under boots and I've gotten compliments.
