Does anyone know a good French Language School in Geneva
March 21, 2008 2:24 PM

I'm staying with friends on the border between Switzerland and France for about six weeks this summer and would like to find a school that offers intensive French lessons. Ideally I would leave for France sometime in the beginning of June and stay until mid-July, though my dates are flexible. I speak intermediate level French now and would be willing to come into a course a little late, if necessary. Thanks!

My mum (Swiss resident of Lausanne) says you might want to ask the Universite Populaire de Geneve or Universite de Geneve whether they have any short summer courses, since they both have lots of foreign students. Hopefully, even if they don't have something suitable for you, someone there might be nice and have other suggestions for you. Also, check out these people. If you're a woman, this group.

Sorry I have no direct info, but I learned my French as a kid, and was living in Lausanne at the time ... hope the linkfest gets you started!

You could search for an Alliance Francaise near where you are staying. I've only ever studied at the one in Paris but I believe they are all over the world. Should be exactly what you need.
