Implant dentist in LA

Recommendations for an implant dentist/oral surgeon in Pasadena/Los Angeles.
My wife needs to get a couple of dental implants to replace congenitally missing teeth, but the guy her orthodontist recommended is sending out some really bad vibes (dissing the ortho's work, upselling on veneers, diagnosing an apparently asymptomatic TMJ disorder). He claims the surgeon will charge $3000 for each of the two implant posts. Then he himself will charge $1500 for each of the two crowns to top the posts, and $1500 for each of the four veneers he claims she will need. This adds up to $15000 to replace two teeth! Are the prices for the posts and crowns reasonable? They would be placed in the front top of the mouth. X-rays show that the bone density is good, so no bone grafts would be needed. Would it be advantageous to find someone who can do both the implants and the crowns out of the same office? She needs recommendations for someone trustworthy and reasonably priced. Any MeFites in LA with recommendations, ideally in the Pasadena area?

I have been to Nicholas Ravon, DDS. He's in the Burbank/Toluca Lake area. His bedside manner can be so-so, but he does good work. FWIW I went to him for two congenitally missing front lower teeth. He's a periodontist, and my dentist recommended him because of the aesthetics of where the implants would be placed and he thought I might need to have my gum tissue manipulated for cosmetics reasons.
This was earlier this year. I previously had a Maryland Bridge (aka Acid Etch Bridge). I am much happier, glad I did it.
I would highly recommend him.

I went to David Frey-- www.cosmetic-dentist beverly-hills.com before he moved over the hill. (the link is getting screwed up for some reason) .

Depending on where this is in her mouth, (how visible it is), this guy is great. He is a Master Ceramist, Vincent DeVaud. www.vincentdevaud.org
He did the ceramic part of mine, and he's *extremely* anal (in a good way!) about matching colors. He's even in Pasadena! He is a bit pricey, but if it's in a place where it's visible, she'll want it.
