How many pizza shops are there in new york city?

The NYC Dept of Health and Mental Hygiene lists 1250 restaurants with the word "pizza" in the restaurant name and 394 restaurants with the word "pizzeria" in the restaurant name. Restaurant inspection information.

Menupages has 667 results for the pizza category. 80 of these are in Brooklyn, the rest in Manhattan. I am sure this is a gross understatement for the 5 boroughs but probably reasonably close for Manhattan.
