Social director needs social direction

Help me entertain about 20 women (and a few men) for some sort of social event in November in DC or surrounds.
In the past, we've done a happy hour, and gone to a Nationals game, and tubing in Harper's Ferry. Yes, it must be in November, otherwise I would have planned a trip to Markoff's Haunted Forest.
Anyway any suggestions welcome - if there are event fees, would prefer they cost less than $20...

Sunday Gospel Brunch at the Corcoran (the Ansel Adams and Annie Leibovitz exhibits will both be there).
Bowling down at LuckyStrike (near the Verizon Center, easy metro for everyone).
Host your own wine tasting, with experts.

Well, if you're going to be around the Verizon Center, how about coming to the Smithsonian American Art Museum. It's free (the good part of the federal budget), open late (hours: 11:30 am - 7 pm daily except Xmas), AND beginning November 18 you will be able to enjoy the new indoor courtyard.

Hiking at Great Falls? Beers at The Old Ebbitt? Where the Wild Things Are in ballet at the Warner Theatre (although that's $30).

The Washington Capitals are desperate to fill up the bowl this year, you might contact them and see what's doable for a group rate. If you have any business contacts you might talk to someone with an organization that has a skybox.
