Kitty needs a name.

Help me name my new kitty.

We got a new kitty this weekend. He's a sphynx (hairless). My 2 year old calls hime Da-Da when we ask her what his name is, but Da-Da might be confusing, since that's my name. He's EXTREMELY affectionate, and craves human interaction.

Oubastet (Egyptian for a cat) or Oubie for short

Anubis (not seriously but it would be a fun name to explain)

Ptah - excellent cat name, the sound right before a hairball appears (actually a God worshiped in Memphis)

Psusennes - have no idea how to pronounce this; Pharaoh's name but it looks like a cat name

Thoth - god of the moon

I had a friend with a giant tom named "Heycat", because while they were trying to name it, "Hey, Cat!" was how they addressed him (the cat).

Bouhaki is supposedly the first recorded name of a pet cat, in ancient Egypt. That's what my mom's cat was named when I was a kid. We pronounced it boo-HOCK-ee, but mostly we called the cat Boofy.

You could do what we do when naming our cats: pull tiles out of a scrabble bag.

Xiaepl and Ebllhj turned out just fine.
