Can anyone help me with this? Firefox suddenly won't connect to anything.... I keep getting the following: The proxy server is refusing connections Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections. * Check the proxy settings to make sure that they are correct. * Contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. Any help would be mucho appreciated!

thanks!

It sounds like Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is for some reason not working at the moment.

You can check your proxy settings by going to Tools->Options->Advanced->Network. Then click on the Settings button at the top. That will show you what the current configuration is, but you shouldn't change it unless you know what you're doing. If you're at work, you should probably do as Firefox told you and talk to your SysAdmin. If you're at home, try changing it to "Direct connection to the Internet." If that doesn't work, or if you can't get hold of your SysAdmin, try changing it to "Auto-detect proxy settings for this network."
