Adobe Photoshop

Urgent! Adobe Photoshop Album v1 question. I have about 3gb worth of digital photos currently stored on my C drive. I copied everything (including the directory structure) to an external hard drive and renamed the directory on C:\ from pictures to picturesOLD. As expected Pshop Album couldn't find the pictures. When I tried to point it to their new home (F:\media\pictures\*) it wanted me to manually select each file to "reconnect." I tried google and adobe forums. Can't find a thing. Is there any way to get Pshop Album to recognize that nothing has changed except the location of the files or am I screwed?
No one knows, huh?

Yeah, I know. The free version of version 2 won't let me import existing databases though. I think the database format used can be read by MS Access, but I don't have it. If there is a free utility out there that can read and edit Access databases, I could probably change every instance of C:\ to F:\, the directory structure remains the same.
Well, thanks.

Would changing the drive letter of your internal drive to something else, and then your external hard drive to C work?

Pirate version 2, do your thing, and delete version 2 if you're against that sort of thing. In my mind you'd be ethically in the clear.

Ethically in the clear? Only if you don't believe in paying for upgrades. Of course, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it either.

TGC. I rationalize pirating software thusly:
If it is for personal use and not something I would otherwise buy, no problem. If I intend to make a profit using the product, I am obligated to pay for it. (I don't want to start an argument here, I'm aware of the flaws in my reasoning), Photoshop Album 2 is, as far as I can tell, not pirateable unless I can find a full version somewhere. There is no trial version to crack and the free edition (which lacks such useful features as importing v1 catalogs) does not appear to be crackable. Meaning I haven't found a crack for it.

If he just used it so he wouldn't have to relocate all his songs manually, I don't think it's a big issue. I'm somewhat surprised they didn't include something of that nature in the original.

That sucks. I'm afraid I can't be of any further help. You may be stuck, unless you're willing to shell out the cash. I know this may seem like a silly solution, but is it necessary to have the pictures in a new folder entitled "picturesOLD"? Could you just revert back to your old naming scheme and bite the bullet? (I realize this doesn't answer your question but at least you wouldn't have to reconnect them all manually)

Yes, I can revert back easily. The PicturesOLD is a backup and I had hoped it would force the program to ask me where to find the directory Pictures, I would then tell it to look on the F: drive and it would take it from there. Obviously I am an optimist.
Does anyone with MS Access know if you can do a find and replace on an entire column in a table? The various free database editors I've found won't let me and I don't know how to write a database query that would acomplish the same thing. If access can do it I might "borrow" a copy and give it a try.
