Browser incompatibility why?

Hosted software should be accessible by any web device but only works with Explorer. Why? Where have the software engineers gone wrong? Ranting allowed.

Looking at a piece of hosted software ( A kinda online sales tool) and it is meant to be accessible from the web. I have tested it with every browser i can find and it only works with Explorer on a PC (and only then if it has never seen a popup blocker). Can't even log in with Firefox Opera, Netscape. Cant even get to the log in on Nokia phone browser or even PocketPC. Haven't got a mac but I am guessing noway. Please give me something smart to say to chew them up. I am thinking my rant will be use the word "protocol".

protocol standards compliance.

I know you're pissed off, but I'm not sure there's much of a question in there. I suggest you just avoid using it (because this speaks volumes about their competency as developers and probably how seriously they take testing), and move on.

Did you try spoofing the user-agent in Opera?

Something smart to say? "This doesn't work in all browsers, or with mobile devices. It only works in IE.".

Don't use words you don't understand when you complain or you'll accidentally complain about the wrong thing.
