Where can I get a barber shop shave in downtown Philadelphia. The closer to the Radisson Warwick Hotel, the better.

When I worked at 20th and Market, I used to frequently walk by Silvio Hair Styling for Men at 126 S. 20th St. Looked like a pretty old-school barber shop. I never ventured in myself, so I can't vouch for quality. It's at 20th and Sansom. Not too far from where you are.

There is/was also a place just east of Broad on Locust--I think there is a hotel directly across, but then an alley further east. In the basement, there was an "old style" barber. "Enjoy barbering as did your dad" was printed on a sign on the outside of the building, which I found charming. Like Otis, I never went to this place, either, so YMMV.

And, to clarify, the barbershop was in a building just to the east of the alley mentioned in my post.
