Posting on Behalf of Someone Who Used His Question Already Filter: Have you seen Jeremiah Britt's father? Of course, there's...
My father, Byron Lee Britt, has not been seen for several months. He was last seen in the Tampa Bay, FL area. He is 5'10" and about 180 lbs, in good shape. He has a mild speech impediment due to childhood deafness (sounds as if he is wearing a retainer). He is outgoing and friendly, charismatic and intelligent. He is a drinker and a smoker. He likes seafood and black and tans.
He is a voracious reader and loves science fiction and used-book stores. He always has a paperback with him.
He was a nuclear safety tech in the navy and most of his jobs since then have related to this field, although his most recent job was custom database creation and management on contract. His last working email address (since canceled) was byron@mcncorp.com.
I can provide more details as necessary.
Please, if anyone has seen him, let me know.
I know that, despite using my real name as a user name, and including pictures, there is no way to prove I'm not a crazy or a stalker. Still, I offer what attempts to verify my identity as one can over the internet below, and also, I am not asking for a phone number or address. I am not asking you to go up to a stranger and tell him to call his son. I just want to know if you've seen him recently, if he looked well. You don't have to tell me where or exactly when.
If you do a Google search for my name Jeremiah Britt (jeremiahbritt), almost all of the results will be me at various sites (fark, flickr, myspace, etc). Many of them have been around for several years. You can also search for me at my college paper, the North Wind, to find a photo of me, which should resemble the childhood photos found with him in the below album. Unfortunately, I do not have a recent photo with my father available right now as our wedding photographer's camera was broken and none of the pictures came out.

I should add that we have not filed a missing person's report because he is being sought by creditors and, on their behalf, private investigators.

According to email correspondence and phone calls, he was in Tampa in August. I believe he was there at least until October. He has not been seen in person by a member of my family in almost a year.
My family does not keep in close contact, but this is the first time he has gone somewhere without letting anyone know.
